We are pleased to announce the completion of Desi Leaves Town! We wrapped up our cartoon game hybrid last week. Soon the iPad version will be released with iPhone, iPod, Mac and PC versions to follow.

We just finished a music video for the always excellent FaltyDL. It’s for the song ‘My Light, My Love’ off his just released Atlantis EP on Ninja Tune. Check out these screen shots and keep an eye out for the video which should hit the usual streaming outlines soon.

Chrissy Murderbot‘s “Bussin’ Down” video has been causing quite a stir on the music blogs.

We dig it because it’s basically a footwork battle based on the scene of a Streetfighter game.

A Great Time

As a gamer its a great time to be alive. Today I felt a great appreciation for everything happening in the medium. There are a lot of cool things going on.

Today I finished a puzzle design for our upcoming game, Desi Leaves Town. Here is a shot of it running below:

I also found out about a whole new batch of Amanita Design games and got to try out the Nintendo 3DS. I thought it was going to be a total gimmick until I got it in my hands. But its not. Its really an amazing and fun little device. This is coming from someone who can’t stand ’3D’ movies.

I am also really enjoying the fighting game revival. Today I pre-ordered the new Mortal Kombat. It makes me feel nostalgic for the days when I would skateboard up to the pizza parlor to play Mortal Kombat or challeng my friends at Street Fighter II at the 7-11. I was actually so overcome by nostalgia that I went off on an hour long tangent making fan art. It was just too perfect to pass up.

I recently stumbled upon the Death Day comic by Sam Hiti. It was an instant hit for me and I had to share it. You can check out the comic on Sam’s site and also order the book here. There are some good options too – PDF for the eReaders and different versions of the printed Book like the special Black Band Edition.

Sea Rascals XL

We are pleased to announce the release of Sea Rascals XL. This is a special version of Sea Rascals designed for the iPad in which we have managed to fit up to 99 Rascals on screen!

Additionally, we’ve added Game Center, so you can earn achievement badges and see how your scores stack up on the Leader Boards.

Another bonus is the addition of Coral Mode in which coral blocks grow up from the sea floor. Players are awarded bombs based on the number of combination moves they perform. The bombs vary in strength and must be placed on the coral in order to eliminate it.
